Summer Camps

Looking for a way to bump the summer boredom and keep your kids active this summer? Register your child for one of our summer camps! These four  and three day volleyball summer camps are the perfect blend of fun and fitness teaching kids the fundamentals of the game and building up their skills to help them progress and grow as a player.

For any additional questions about summer camps, please call the office at (804) 358-3000 or email juniors@rvc.net

For summer camps we  use a registration system called Sports Connect (formerly Blue Sombrero). If you have not used Sports Connect with RVC yet (for Middle School League or Jumpin’ Juniors, or Jump Up) then you will need to use the following directions to create yourself an account when registering. If you have any question, email rvc@rvc.net

  • What happens after I register for a camp?

Each camper will be emailed a registration confirmation the week before camp begins.  The letter will contain general information and suggestions for getting the most out of your camp experience.

  • What do I have to do to check-in?

There will be a check-in table upon entering the facility.  Campers simply need to check-in at the table with the coaches.

  • When should I arrive for camp?

Players should be ready to start at scheduled times.  The facility will open a half hour prior to camp starting and campers should be picked up at the end of the session.

  • What should I bring/wear to camp?

Campers should come dressed in athletic wear (t-shirts, shorts, socks, and athletic shoes.) Please bring or wear comfortable volleyball or athletic shoes.  Knee pads are not required but are recommended.  Be prepared to drink plenty of liquids each day.  Bottle filling stations will be available at the water fountains, and campers should bring refillable water bottles.

  • Where can I purchase volleyball shoes or kneepads?

While you do not have to have a shoe specifically for volleyball, if you’d like one we recommend visiting Dick’s Sporting Goods and using these coupons for RVC participants.

  • Who are the coaches that will be working the camp?

Camp instructors may include college coaches and players (current and former), RVC club coaches, high school coaches and players. We are very selective with staffing our camps.  All coaches are background checked.

  • What is your policy regarding explusion or voluntary withdrawal from camp?

Campers who are expelled or voluntarily withdraw from camp do not receive refunds.

  • Will food be available for the all day camps?

Campers may bring snacks and lunch from home.  Cafe availability will be updated as we get closer to summer camp openings.  Eat healthy!  You will be working hard, so a healthy diet will be critical to your success.

  • How do I check-out from camp?

Campers will remain inside the facility until they are picked up.  Camp will end at the scheduled times.  Make sure transportation has been arranged for each day of camp.

  • Do you offer any registration discounts?

Campers can receive the RVC Member discounted price if they purchase a membership to RVC.  In addition to pricing discounts for camps, private lessons, and more, membership allows access to open gym.  Open gym provides our members an opportunity to play in a”pick up” game environment, or just practice with other players. Check the Club Calendar on our website for open gym days and times.  Contact our office for additional information on becoming an RVC member.
