Summer Camp Registration

The Richmond Volleyball Club offers half-day and full-day summer camp opportunities for the beginner to advanced volleyball player. With over 7 weeks of summer camps for ages 3-18, we have something for everyone! All athletes are grouped based on a combination of skill-level and age.

Registration: you do not need to login to register for camp, simply click on the registration link found under each specific camp.  If your son/daughter participated in our Spring Jumpin’ Juniors Program, City League, or on a Travel team during the 2016-2017 session, they are current members. RVC members receive discounts on summer camps, private lessons, and open gyms. Refund policy: Cancellations after June 1, 2017 will be charged a $25 administrative fee and the remaining balance will be credited towards a future Richmond Volleyball Club camp. Once camp begins, there are no refunds for injury, illness, etc. No exceptions. Any rule violation will result in immediate dismissal without refund. Issuing a refund due to unforeseen circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis.

  • RVC’s Itsy Bitsy Spikers is a new, developmental program for kids between the ages of 4 to 6 years old. Itsy Bitsy Spikers campThis program is designed to introduce the sport of volleyball and the FUN of fitness. In addition to learning volleyball, the camp will strive to develop motor skills, hand eye coordination and improve listening skills, all within a safe and social environment. 

     

  • Stay cool this summer at RVC’s Summer Camps. Ideal for kids who have a desire to learn the basics Summer Camp 2014
    of the sport in a fun and energetic atmosphere. This camps are perfect for beginners new to volleyball and intermediate players who want to improve their skills. All campers are grouped based on a combination of skill-level and age.

    • Ages: Boys and Girls ages 5-10
    • Cost: $110 non member/ $100 RVC member
    • Dates: Our 3-day camps are being offered beginning on 6/19, 6/26, 7/10, 7/17, 7/24, 7/31, 8/7
    • Hours: 9am-12pm
    • What to bring? Campers should wear athletic clothing and bring a snack and a water bottle. Knee pads are recommended but not required.

    • Costs: $160 non member/ $145 RVC member
    • Dates: Our 4-day camps run Monday – Thursday and are being offered beginning on 6/19, 6/26, 7/10, 7/17, 7/24, 7/31, 8/7
    • Hours: 9am-12pm
    • What to bring? Campers should wear athletic clothing and bring a snack (or money for the cafe) and a water bottle. Knee pads are recommended but not required.

  • Stay cool this summer at RVC’s Summer Camps. Ideal for kids who have a desire to learn the basics of the sport in a fun and energetic atmosphere. These camps are perfect for beginners new to volleyball and intermediate players who want to improve their skills. All campers are grouped based on a combination of skill-level and age. After a morning full of volleyball, afternoons will be spent playing more volleyball along with various activities such as dodge ball, kick ball, arts and crafts, and many more! 

    • Ages: Boys and Girls ages 5-12
    • Costs: $260 non member/ $240 RVC member
    • Dates: Our 4-day camps run Monday – Thursday and are being offered beginning on  6/26, 7/10, 7/17, 7/24
    • Hours: 9am-4pm
    • What to bring? Campers should wear athletic clothing and bring a snack, lunch (or money for the cafe) and a water bottle. Knee pads are recommended but not required.

  • Take your game to the next level! Sign up for RVC Preseason Camp and let our coaches elevate your game before the high school season. Camp is geared towards the intermediate and advanced athlete with previous volleyball experience. Our Preseason Camp will include all aspects of the game including daily game play and conditioning.

    • Ages: Girls ages 13 & up
    • Cost: $285 non-member/ $265 member
    • Dates: Our 4-day camps run Monday-Thursday and are being offered June 26 – July 27th
    • Times: 9am-4pm
    • What to bring? Athletes should wear athletic attire and bring a snack, lunch (or money for the cafe), and a water bottle. Knee pads are recommended but not required.

  • Take your game to the next level! Sign up for RVC Preseason Camp and let our coaches elevate your game before the high school season. Camp is geared towards the intermediate and advanced athlete with previous volleyball experience. Our Preseason Camp will include all aspects of the game including daily game play and conditioning.

    • Ages: Boys ages 13 & up
    • Cost: $285 non-member/ $265 member
    • Dates: Our 4-day camp is being offered July 24, 2017
    • Times: 9am-4pm
    • What to bring? Athletes should wear athletic attire and bring a snack, lunch (or money for the cafe), and a water bottle. 
    • Registration: 
  • This 3-day camp will provide specific setting, hitting, or passing training. Athletes choose one specific position camp. This camp is excellent preparation for high school tryouts, the upcoming high school season and players transitioning into the college game. 

    • Ages: Girls ages 14 & up
    • Cost: $90 non-member/ $105 member
    • Dates: Our 3-day camps for setting, hitting, and passing are being offered July 10-12, 2017. Choose one.

Summer Camp Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you are mailing camp registration, please make all checks out to Richmond Volleyball Club.  You may also register online using a credit card.

  • Cancellations made prior to June 1 will receive a partial refund.

  • Each camper will be mailed a registration confirmation letter the week before camp begins.  The letter will contain general information and suggestions for getting the most out of your camp experience.

  • There will be a check-in table upon entering the facility.  Campers simply need to check-in at the table with the coaches.

  • Players should be ready to start at scheduled times.  The facility will open at 8:30am and campers should be picked up at the end of the session.

  • Campers should come dressed in athletic wear (t-shirts, shorts, socks, and athletic shoes.) Please bring or wear comfortable volleyball or athletic shoes.  Knee pads are not required but are recommended.  Be prepared to drink plenty of liquids each day.  Drinking fountains are available, and campers should bring refillable water bottles.

  • Our sport shop is open during business hours selling t-shirts, volleyball shoes and accessories (including various styles and sizes of kneepads.) Ask any office or staff member for assistance in the sport shop.

  • Camp instructors may include college coaches and players (current and former) or high school coaches and players, all of whom are RVC-trained staff. We are very selective with staffing our camps.  All camps are developed and run under the tutelage of full-time staff members.

  • Campers who are expelled or voluntarily withdraw from camp do not receive refunds.

  • Campers may bring lunch and snacks from home or purchase drinks from our drink machine.  Eat healthy!  You will be working hard, so a healthy diet will be critical to your success. (The concession area will NOT be open during summer camps.)  For information regarding our free lunch program, contact the RVC office.

  • Campers will remain inside the facility until they are picked up.  Camp will end at the scheduled times.  Make sure transportation has been arranged for each day of camp.

  • Campers can receive the RVC Member discounted price if they purchase a membership to RVC.  In addition to pricing discounts. membership allows access to open gym.  Open gym provides our members an opportunity to play in a”pick up” game environment, or just practice with other players. Check the Club Calendar on our website for open gym days and times.  Contact our office for additional information on becoming an RVC member. 

  • You must register early to be eligible for a free camp shirt.  Otherwise, they will be sold in our sport shop at the end of camp.
