  • We are one of the largest volleyball clubs in the country dedicated exclusively to recreational volleyball and having fun. We have evening leagues that play year-round Sunday through Friday nights. Each division plays one night a week. Register and play in as many divisions as you’d like. Our post-game social atmosphere and member events are why many people choose the Richmond Volleyball Club!

  • Anybody !!! Any age, any size, no experience or much experience. We have a place for everyone from the absolute beginner to the Olympic hopeful. Our members range in age from 8 to 72.

  • RVC operates 4 seasons a year for adults: fall, winter, spring and summer. Teams play a 9 week season with a double elimination tournament at the end of each season. One night a week, Sunday through Friday, teams play two 55 minute matches starting sometime between 6PM and 10PM.

  • Evening recreation leagues are set up with men’s, women’s and coed leagues. Each league has a variety of levels starting with basic levels up to advanced levels. Men’s and women’s leagues typically run either Sundays, Mondays or Tuesdays and coed leagues run either Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays.

  • For nine weeks of play and a tournament, teams pay between $400 and $580 depending on the night they play. This works out to between $6 and $8 per night per player. Many teams find a corporate sponsor for their team fee. RVC provides an official for all matches.

  • No problem! There are many teams looking for additional players and a list is maintained on our homepage. A lot of members will also reach out on Facebook when looking for a team or additional players for a team. 

  • Registration deadlines typically are about 4 weeks before season starts. Call RVC for details or check the club calendar for a schedule of important dates.

  • Our individual membership year runs from September to September. Joining in the beginning of our membership year the rate is $75. This fee is pro rated if joining in the Winter, Spring or Summer season.

    Membership Fees:

    • Full Year Membership (September 20, 2019 – September 20, 2020) $75
    • Seasonal Membership $50
      • Winter – December 20 – March 20
      • Spring – March 20 – June 20
      • Summer – June 20 – September 20
      • Fall – September 20 – December 20
    •  Partial Year Membership (Includes Spring and Summer seasons) $60
  • We also have skills clinics, social events, outdoor tournaments, climate controlled facilities, showers, concession with food and beverages, open gym at various times throughout the year and best of all a fun and social atmosphere.

  • The easiest way to join is to hit the “sign-up” button at the top of the tool bar. You can also give us a call at 358-3000, e-mail us at, or come by to see us. We’re open 9AM – 11PM, Monday-Friday and 6-11PM on Sunday. We will set you up to start having the best time playing the best sport in a jiffy.

  • We have other options for you. Our SNAP (“Saturday Night All Play”) program is open to both members and non-members for a nominal fee. Pick up play is available from 7pm – 11pm on select Saturday nights. (Check the Club Calendar for specific dates.)

    We also have a Starter League which plays on Friday nights for a reduced price and begins on the 3rd week of each season.
